VOLUME 18 . . . JANUARY 31, 2005 On Thursday, January 27, Good Vibrations held a gala celebration in advance of its official opening (February 2nd). Held at Dodger Stages, the party entertained joyful families and friends, a hard-working cast and crew, and former Beach Boy Mike Love! Tonight, Brandon participates in the Jai Rodriguez Xposed concert to benefit the Actors' Fund of America. Also, on New Years Eve, Brandon performed in Times Square along with four of his Good Vibrations cohorts, leading about a million celebrants in a Beach Boys Singalong. OCTOBER 18, 2004 We are delighted to announce that Brandon is in talks to play the role of Dave in Broadway's upcoming Good Vibrations! Rehearsals will begin November 1st in preparation for a first performance on December 20th, and an official opening on January, 27, 2005. John Carrafa will direct and choreograph the show with a book by Richard Dresser and a score that features a wealth of Beach Boys songs. The cast has already kicked off its time together by attending Brian Wilson's acclaimed Smile concert at Carnegie Hall. Stay tuned! VOLUME 15. . . OCTOBER 14, 2004 Today Brandon appears in a live radio interview in Charleston, South Carolina, discussing upcoming projects that we will be reporting here soon. More details to come! VOLUME 14. . . MAY 14, 2004 Two events on May 3rd were a smashing success: First, the Ars Nova Broadway Spotlight Series, where Brandon sang "Unworthy of Your Love" with Kendra Kassebaum and "What Do I Need With Love," and then, Rockers on Broadway, where he sang "Livin' On A Prayer" and Led Zeppelin's "Rock and Roll." Sunday evening, May 23rd, at 7:30 at the 14th street YMCA, Musicals Tonight presents another understudy spotlight event, "Broadway Tonight." Brandon will reprise "Unworthy of Your Love" along with two other songs. For additional information, call 212-362-5620. VOLUME 13. . . APRIL 23, 2004 Now that Assassins has opened to glowing reviews, Brandon has two other performances coming up, both on the same night, Monday, May 3rd. First, at 8 pm, he will perform "Unworthy of Your Love" with Kendra Kassebaum, and then go solo on "What Do I Need With Love," in the Ars Nova Broadway Spotlight Series, showcasing several current Broadway understudies. Then, Brandon will head down to "Rockers on Broadway," already in progress, and cut loose alongside several of Broadway's favorite rock voices. You'll have to miss one of these events, but try not to miss both! VOLUME 12. . . MARCH 9, 2004 Monday, March 15th at 8pm, Brandon will be among the guests performing at Donnie Kehr's Broadway Rockers, a benefit for Broadway Cares. The evening is presented by Gerry McIntyre, Good 2 Go Entertainment, and Sabrina Gordin. Donnie's other guests will include Michael Cavanaugh, Schele Williams, Julie Danao, Doug Storm, Ta'rea Campbell, Felicia Finley, Will Chase, and other surprise guests. Rehearsals start in February, and Brandon will be in the ensemble, playing David Herold (accomplice to Booth), and understudying the roles of Zangara (Jeffrey Kuhn), Hinckley (Alexander Gemignani), and The Balladeer/Oswald (Neil Patrick Harris). The cast will also include James Barbour, Mario Cantone, Michael Cerveris, Marc Kudisch, Becky Ann Baker, Mary Catherine Garrison, Denis O'Hare, James Clow, Eamon Foley, Kendra Kassebaum, Ken Krugman, Anne Nathan, Chris Peluso, and Sally Wilfert. VOLUME 10. . . SEPTEMBER 25, 2003 Brandon will be a guest artist for the Golden Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles, playing Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The show will perform at the Madrid Theatre in Canoga Park: October 11, 18, 24, 25, and 26 at 8pm, and 12 and 19 at 2pm. Gerry McIntyre directs and choreographs, and Matt Falker is Musical Director. AUGUST 25, 2003 On August 25, 2003, Brandon starred as Christy Mahon in a reading of The Playboy of Ballyduff, a musical adaptation of J. M. Synge's The Playboy of the Western World. Richard B. Evans wrote the music, Kate Hancock wrote the lyrics, and both collaborated on the book. Randy White directed and Gillian Berkowitz provided musical direction. Susan Derry played Pegeen Flaherty. Other actors included Joel Blum, Kathleen Early, Sarah Nadeau, Kelsey Fatebene, Melissa Hart, Susan Murray, Gordon Stanley, James Kennedy, Jamie McGonnigal, Ken Boys, Joel Briel, and Wm. Baldwin Young. VOLUME 8 . . . JUNE 13, 2003 Brandon is starring in the new commercial campaign for Amstel in Spain. The series of commercials follows the nightlife misadventures of the "tres amigos": Javier (Brandon), Oscar (Dave Shalansky) and Dani (Jack Marshall). The first two were shot on location at Madrid's Central Bar in Plaza de Angel. The series is produced by Lee Films. VOLUME 7 . . . APRIL 20, 2003 April 13, Brandon appeared in a reading of Embarrassments, a new work by Polly Pen and Lawrence Klavan. Brandon and Henry Stram portrayed two playwrights in distress, and other performers included John Sloman, Patti Perkins, Michael Winther, Erin Hill, Susan Bigelow, and Nancy Eyermann. Blanka Zizka directed and Mary Mitchell Campbell served as musical director. VOLUME 6 . . . SEPTEMBER 30, 2002 September 30, Brandon appeared in a reading of Napoleon Ellsworth's new play, Hunting for Game, at Second Stage Theatre. The reading also featured Dallas Roberts (Burn This), Paul Sparks, Timothy Altmeyer, Jeb Brown, Val Geffner, Jennifer Carpenter, and Michael Berkowitz, and was directed by Thomas Caruso. On September 23, Brandon shot a short film, "Sometimes," written and directed by Jason Whisman and featuring Roger Rees. Check back soon for photos and clips! VOLUME 5 . . . SEPTEMBER 13, 2002 The premiere edition of Show People Magazine is finally released! Brandon appears in a photo with Sally Murphy, accompanied by a pithy comment from Millie wordsmith Dick Scanlan. VOLUME 4 . . . JULY 26, 2002 Brandon has left Thoroughly Modern Millie. His last show was on July 21st. The next day, he played the title role in the reading of Liberty Smith, alongside Darcie Roberts, Richard Kind, Eddie Korbich, William Parry, Christian Borle, Mary Stout, and others. VOLUME 3 . . . JULY 16, 2002 On Monday, July 22, Brandon will be appearing in the title role of a reading of a new musical called Liberty Smith. Check out Playbill Online's news story here. Don't forget Bryant Park on Thursday afternoon, July 18th, when Brandon will be singing with Sutton Foster. The program will be performed twice: at 1:05 pm and again at 2:05. The set will last about 20 minutes and will contain 4 songs from Thoroughly Modern Millie, including "What Do I Need With Love?" and "I Turned The Corner." Link to details here. VOLUME 2 . . . JULY 5, 2002 Brandon will be appearing in the "Broadway in Bryant Park" series on Thursday, July 18th, between 12:30 and 2pm! He will be performing as Jimmy Smith, representing Thoroughly Modern Millie. Other shows represented will be Beauty and the Beast and The Prince and the Pauper.
